projects, projects everywhere

sometimes when you have a lot to do you act crazy instead of going crazy!

I feel like lately my husband and I have been busy on weekends and evenings after the kids go to bed doing projects around the house. But I feel like I have nothing to show for it. We have some long winded, multiple step projects going. Some that just need a few finishing touches. And some that are ready to be started once we find time. So here is my list...

re doing a tray

Alright people, it is Monday. And I have had a dozy of a weekend. My son Gavin's party was on Saturday and we discovered a Tick (ick) on my son Caleb's head, under his hair on Sunday. All is good, it was a wood Tick, which I guess is the best kind of Tick to get, little to no chance of Lyme disease so that was nice. But we had a very exciting weekend. Today is Gavin's actual Birthday. He is three, my baby is three. So weird.

painting outdoor furniture fail

So this is a cautionary tale for all. This hunk of chipped paint that we call patio furniture is my proof of being lazy. We inherited this furniture from family. It is old and rickety. So two years ago I decided to liven it up and paint it. It was cute, yellow, bright, sunny and so easy. I just simply painted the yellow onto the chipped stain.

paper flowers

It is Tuesday right?... NO!... where did yesterday go? Alright, I know it is Wednesday and I am now officially two days late on this post. I know. Get it together, but I did and here it is. I am all about spring right now. Bringing in warmth, light and life into my house. Let the fresh air in and enjoy it. So I wanted to try a few DIY craft projects. I have seen a lot of inspiration for flowers, and some with paper flower's. But all of the ones I have seen have used some printing thing that makes the flowers spiraled. I don't really know. All I know is I don't have one. I do have scissors, a glue gun, and hands to do it.

case of the Monday's

Alright people, I officially have a bad case of the Mondays'. It set in Sunday evening, after pulling weeds in my flower beds, going for walks with the kids, dinner, baths, and what not I could just not muster up anything to give a detailed instruction of my project planned for Monday's post. So that project has been moved to Tuesday. I will be back to make this week happen. By then it is on! There is lots going on in my lovely abode.

Moss decor and my spring fireplace mantle

Spring is sprung. Well depending on the day. Here in Wisconsin it was spring yesterday, birds chirping 50 degree weather and wonderful. Today it is 30 degrees outside and cold. But still, spring is here. So I am looking for ways to brighten up my house. Give it a fresh new feel for this fresh new (eventual) warmer weather.
today is brought to you by the letter B, and Me.

house stalking...

Miss Bertenshaw used the image editing software Photoshop to try different designs for the outside of the house, the Spanish theme is nothing like her original intentions

I decided instead of doing this house stalking thing every week I will just post one when I come across a house I have to share. Because sometimes I find better houses by mistake then searching for one to share with you all. OK, on with the show. I think this house is really amazing house in Marsden, West Yorkshire.
